Position Summary

The Advanced Digital Experience Designer leads multiple design work streams in an effort to solve complex business challenges while being an advocate for users with extensive knowledge with user-centered design processes. Foundational characteristics of the Advanced Digital Experience Designer include empathy, creative problem-solving, comfort with uncertainty, collaboration, iteration, communication skills, excellent technical design skills, and curiosity. You will work hand-in-hand with other disciplines and stakeholders to scale our design system across multiple platforms and build visual consistency in each experience. The ideal candidate will take on hands-on design responsibilities and thrive working independently with limited direction. Partnering with solutions to evangelize the benefits of a design system as well as share expertise in native patterns, you will provide regular design feedback to partners and designers on all aspects of design related to building and maintaining a best-in-class enterprise design system. This role supports the Retail and Health Solutions within the Digital Experience Design Organization, and reports in to the Retail and Health Extension Library team. Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in UX and Visual/UI design
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading iterative discovery and solution processes to define, design, and deliver high-quality work designed to solve real customer problems and move key metrics.
  • Experience working in Figma, Sketch and InVision and/or other industry-standard design tools
  • Proven experience in driving and delivering design from initial concepts all the way to successful market launches
  • Strong portfolio of work including examples of native app design, mobile web, desktop and other digital experiences
  • Experience leading, mentoring and coaching designers
  • Experience designing and leading cross-platform experiences
  • Experience designing complex patterns and components for contribution to an enterprise design system
  • Ability to work closely with development partners and engineers to ensure designs and patterns are implemented correctly
  • Experience partnering effectively with content design/content strategy, inclusive design and a11y teams
  • Experience leveraging UX research methodologies and applications, successful track-record of pulling customer centric insights that inspire inventive experiences and solve known customer problems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading design strategy, design workshops, and creating long-term vision
  • Ability to see ahead of current work and translate future possibilities into breakthrough design strategies, through leveraging OKRs or other enterprise prioritization
  • Experience leveraging qualitative and quantitative customer research and communicating insights to gain stakeholder support
  • Ability to align team members around the ideal digital experience and gain support and commitment
  • Ability to manage and oversee various design processes, and recommend improvements as warranted
  • Demonstrates change mindset and encourages constructive feedback and challenges to design work
  • Experience working within an Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Methodology as a development process
  • Experience partnering with development/engineering teams; technical fluency a plus

Education Bachelor's degree in Design, User Experience, Graphic Design, Information Design, Product Design, Human Factors or equivalent/relevant work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$120,750.00 - $240,000.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
