🎯 Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

As a Sales Engineer at Carbyne, you will be a pivotal technical leader partnering with Account Executives to drive the adoption of our innovative public safety software solutions. Your expertise will bridge the gap between complex technology and critical customer needs, ensuring our offerings deliver maximum value to emergency services worldwide.

  • Strategic Technical Partnership: Collaborate with Account Executives to develop and execute technical sales strategies for Carbyne's public safety software solutions.
  • Customer Engagement: Lead technical discovery calls and conduct compelling product demonstrations tailored to specific client requirements.
  • Solution Design & Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed solution proposals and specifications.
  • RFP Management: Provide expert technical support for Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, ensuring accurate and compelling solution representation.
  • Trusted Advisor: Build and maintain strong technical relationships with key stakeholders, including PSAP directors and emergency operations leaders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate nuanced customer needs and feedback into actionable product requirements.
  • Implementation Guidance: Provide customers with essential technical guidance during onboarding to ensure successful and seamless solution implementation.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay continuously updated on emerging industry trends in emergency response technology and public safety solutions.

Requirements

🔑 What You Bring

To shine in this role, you’ll need:

  • 3 years of Sales Engineering experience, with a focus on solution design and technical sales within Telecommunications, Networking, or VoIP platforms.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Technical Acumen: Proficient working knowledge of IP Networking, IP Telephony, and enterprise SaaS deployments.
  • Cloud Solutions: Proven experience in architecting and positioning robust cloud solutions, with a strong preference for AWS.
  • Proven Success: Demonstrated track record of winning complex technical deals through value engineering and clear competitive differentiation.
  • Sales Collaboration: Experience collaborating effectively with Sales teams to construct compelling technical proposals and accelerate deal closure.
  • Travel: Ability to travel approximately 70% for onsite customer meetings.
  • Location: Must reside near a major airport hub.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while simultaneously supporting multiple enterprise sales cycles.

  • Discovery Skills: Exceptional ability to uncover deep technical pain points and expertly translate them into tangible solution value, and good understanding of the MEDDPICC framework
  • Technical Leadership: Experience leading technical whiteboarding sessions and conducting architectural deep dives with enterprise clients.
  • Influence & Navigation: Proven capability to influence technical decision-makers and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
