Job Summary:
Mayo Clinic is a leading healthcare organization, and they are seeking a Software Engineer to design and build back-end services for clinical and analytic applications. The role involves collaborating with various teams to develop applications that utilize cloud computing, big data, and machine learning technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Works closely with the Product Owners, Product Managers, and Architects to translate requirements into code.
• Develops services around data warehousing, big data, business intelligence, analytics and machine learning.
• Participates in DevOps, Agile, continuous development and integration frameworks.
• Ensures all appropriate documentation of processes and source code is created and maintained.
• Communicates proficiently with peers, leaders, and customers throughout the organization.
• Participates in expert level troubleshooting and resolves problems through root cause analysis, data and system investigation.
• Possesses knowledge of ServiceNow support processes.
• Participates in product discovery sessions with customers as needed, understands the product vision and supports the technical strategy to effectively execute the vision.
• Works on deployment automation/configuration management with ADO/Azure Pipelines following a DevOps model.
• Demonstrates strong understanding of application frameworks, such as SpringBoot, JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js.
• Demonstrates understanding of relational database development using SQL Server, Oracle, or other similar environments.
• Demonstrates solid understanding of medical imaging standards such as DICOM and DICOMWeb.
• Continues to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers.
• Performs a range of mainly straightforward assignments.
• Uses prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems.
• Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Design and build back-end services that support a portfolio of data-centric clinical and analytic applications.
• Leverage cloud and on-premises computing, big data, mobile, data science, data warehousing, machine learning using state of the art software development applications and frameworks.
• Ensure cloud and on-premises based micro-services adhere to uptime and accuracy targets, are resilient, and scale as data volumes and traffic increase.
• Work closely with the data engineering, platform, and solutions teams to develop applications as required to benefit our practice and patients.
